As a self-proclaimed foodie, I have explored many restaurants in Tangipahoa Parish, and I must say, the culinary scene here is truly impressive. From the southern-style comfort food to the fresh seafood, Tangipahoa Parish has a lot to offer for every taste.
One of the most beloved restaurants in the parish is Middendorf’s. This family-owned restaurant has been serving up delicious seafood and local cuisine since 1934. The star of the show here is their thin-fried catfish, which is a local favorite. The crispy texture and fresh flavor of the catfish is truly unforgettable. The sides here are also a must-try, with the hush puppies and sweet potato fries being standout choices.
Another must-visit restaurant in Tangipahoa Parish is The Boston Restaurant and Cate Street Seafood. These Restaurants are casual fine-dining restaurants located in the heart of Amite and Hammond, Louisiana. As part of the Wong family legacy. This classic Southern diners has been a local favorite for many years. The menus here feature dishes like sushi, red beans and rice, and fried chicken.
